Marshall G12 Vintage Speakers

I picked up a pair of these for £70 today. Probably going into an empty cab as a spare or main depending on how they sound. 

Anyone a fan of these speakers? Are they rebadged Vintage 30s?

    Essentially, yes. They are slightly different from a standard V30 though - they seem to sound noticeably brighter. I'm not sure what the constructional difference is but I think the sound difference is real as I've heard the same thing reported elsewhere.

    The Mesa version of the V30 is different from standard too, although in the other direction.
