When I read gold foil I was pretty sure what I was going to see. Didn't realise you meant the pickup until after I clicked on the link. Extremely surprised to not see an ounce of gold leaf in sight Very nice dude and extremely tasteful. How did you finish it?

That's a lovely aged body (the guitar). So how does it sound? I imagine those pickups on a Jazzmaster would sound very 'open' - er lots of air. Hmmm. I know what I mean!

I also approve of the Tele knobs- I have those on my Surf Green Squier Jag- they should have been standard!

That's gorgeous! I'm planning to get some Mojo pups for my latest CIJ Jazzmaster and am very tempted by the goldfoils.

They are a really lovely sound. Marc does a normal JM sized one which sounds the same - is the same - but I like the covers, so I did it this way.

Obviously they aren't as deep, so I've run a bit of fibreboard beneath each pickup to get the height/allow it to be adjusted, but I think he had somebody making bases for him - can't remember.

He also does a Mosrite one which works great in a JM, well lo-fi and tonnes of sustain..

Both the knobs and the pickguard look nicely aged, did you do that yourself or procure them from elsewhere? I may have to nab them for my AVRI ... :P

(Also I now need to get a second JM so I can put in some Gold Foils/Mosrites/some other nonsense. Damn you!)
