Making Pickguards

Hi all,
I'm wanting to make a pickguard for my Epi Les Paul 100 due to not being to find a spare that will definately fit properly. I contacted Epiphone about a replacement one but I haven't heard from them for quite a while so I thought I might as well break ope the tools and make one myself for it. I'm learning psychobilly so a little off beat which is why I don't want a standard looking pickguard so can anyone advise any interesting materials/ colours to use with a sunburst guitar? Or if anyone has a template of a pickguard which would fit my guitar I could play around with it would be a great help!
Many thanks,
Lloyd

I stock white, white pearloid, mint green and black 3 ply blank sheets.
They're usually for Strat pickguards, but I would think a 3 ply Epi pickguard would look nice. A white pearloid guard on a Gibson style guitar is something I haven't seen before - I'm curious now.
