Ukulele players?

What's Hot
I got out my Uke today for the first time in AGES - it's quite nice, a 'Mainland' brand solid mahogany one with slot head. Sounds sweet.

I need to spend more time with it.

Who else Ukes ?
Red ones are better.

    Me.

Although it's disturbingly hipster these days...

I have a cheap uke that I mess about with. I'm even worse at it than playing guitar!

  • Mine has been "adopted" by my daughter. I quite enjoy it, but not as a serious thing.

I'm SO glad they teach Ukelele rather than recorder at schools round here!

I forgot to mention that the reason I dug mine out was that eldest son had asked for one.

It arrived yesterday but there's something odd - the open C string causes a resonant buzz somewhere on the headstock. Holding on to any of the tuners prevents it, but obviously that's not a solution.

Any ideas? Or send it back? It's not one of those toy ones, it's this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Makala-MK-C-Concert-Ukulele-natuale-x/dp/B00172YM9U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1491672962&sr=8-1&keywords=makala+mk-c

If it's on the headstock it's got to be a machinehead part - try gently touching (not holding) any of the keys and see if it's specific to one key, and check the gear screws are all tight.

Wife bought me a Kala uke a couple of years ago. It's ace, very relaxing to noodle on.

is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?
