Love it to bits, but the bloody thing is soo heavy (even with a 4" strap)

Off to Coda this pm to see what I can p/x for it ....

Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

Presumably the wider the strap, the heavier it will be?

Have you tried a really narrow one?

Think it's made of black holes & oak !

There is a LOT of wood making up that Starcaster-y body.

Feels about twice the weight of my 335.

I'd rather hit the gym or get a titanium exoskeleton than give that up.

It is lovely, but I can only play it for 40 mins or so (standing), and it's not the shoulder - it really is my back complaining.

Four inches is quite short for a strap, have you tried something longer?

  • Shame, it's quite sexy, is that.

12lbs on a chambered guitar! Fuck me that's a questionable design.

I can confirm that 4 inches is short, I've been told many times before.

    I had a 12lb Yamaha before - but that was a bass.

The heaviest I've seen was on Basschat - someone had a Warwich 6 string that was 22lb.
    Mental.

A bit of a poor design & wood choices if it's that heavy. Especially given the fashion for lighter guitars.

Beginnings of nice crazing on the finish, will probably de-sticky the neck with some wire wool.
