That device has the advantages of built in ambient stereo mics so you don't feel quite so isolated and the headphone amp, my own design is far better than the kind your find in even a top flight wireless IEM receiver as it has a higher working voltage, plenty of available current and plenty of room for larger capacitors to drive the load with no distortion at all.
I have sold quite a few of these but they are too time consuming to build in the current format
So ask yourself do you need to be wireless, some people don't. If you do then it's hard to recommend any of the cheaper systems I've used, only the Sennheiser was any good
Bud wise I'm happy with Shure SE215, just about all the guys I work with use them
