King Of Tone op-amp chip swapping. UBER NERD ALERT!

I've recently acquired a King of Tone. It's a V4 with high gain yellow side. According to the guy I bought it from, the op amp chips can be swapped over to make it high gain on the red side, although having done that it still seems a bit louder on the yellow side.

There is an H drawn on the yellow side chip (which I have currently put on the red side), and another H on a square red component in there. I'm guessing maybe I'd need to swap that component over as well to get proper high gain on the red side?

Can anyone shed any light on this rather nerdy question? Thanks!!

Can you post a gut shot so we can see what chip it has in there?  I thought the hi gain mod was a 250k pot instead of 100k.

The chips won't really change the gain, but you can swap them if you want.

The H is just a mark to know that side is HG. Sorry about that!
