Expression pedal for Helix Rack

Anyone recommend a good expression pedal for a Helix Rack? ie. one with a toe pedal like the integral one on the Helix Floor?

I've seen the Mission Engineering one (SP1-L6H) but it seems a bit steep at around £149 basically an empty Wah shell!

The Mission feels really nice, I have a spring loaded one for wah functionality, it's great. But yeah, steep indeed.

I've got the Mission.

It is very good, but in hindsight I probably should have spent the little bit more to get the Relfex before they went up in price stupidly.

Sa reflex. All you could ever want from an expression pedal.

Yes, but also it has three expression outs (each can have a different taper, start and end points, direction) and three MIDI outs at the same time.

And each output can be expression or an LFO. And the LFOs can be controlled by the expression pedal, or fixed, or synced to MIDI clock, and if they're synced to MIDI clock the expression pedal can control the clock division. And it has presets so you can make it do completely different things per patch.

If all you want is volume, wah and pitch shift then it's over the top, but the creative possibilities are enormous.

Is the switch momentary or latching? I might just knock something up with an old wah shell as a temporary measure until I get round to getting something else...

The heel down on the EV-1 feels proper unnatural, so am thinking of looking at others. Cry Baby for wah - sorted with the Mission...Ernie for volume...yet to be bettered!

Works fine as an expression pedal, but no toe switch.

I've gone for a Source Audio Reflex - not all that much more than the Mission Engineering SP1-L6H.

Bear in mind that the toe switch on the Reflex doesn't send discrete commands - you may need to do a bit of jiggery and/or pokery if you want to use it as a wah.

I just use the plastic L 6 ones because they are light and stick a proper wah on the board

Ah, really? Wank. Is it not a separate switch output? I guess I should have done more research...

Essentially the switch disables the expression outputs, sending them to a default level. If you use the MIDI connection then it'll go to a specific value, which you could use to trigger wah on/off.

Hmmm. I suspect I'd prefer a simple analogue switch. Am trying to cancel the order. If it's too late - anyone want to buy a Reflex??

I have the Dunlop DVP 3 which is vol/exp combined and it works fine with my FX8. I have just bought a Helix tho so if the onboard one is good I may sell it on
