Advice needed: drum machines.

Hi guys,

Me and my girlfriend are currently working on some stripped back 90's indie style songs, Im on guitar and vocals and my girlfriend is on bass. We're recording on a fostex 4 track and are looking for a drum machine to give it that more 'full' sound. We're just wanting simple beats using hi hats, floor tom and snare. We don't have experience in drum machines so what we're asking is what do you reccomend to do the job? (Computers are out if the question) We've been looking at the Yamaha rx5 but we've seen a few of the other rx models like the 15 for a lot cheaper and due to us only needing simplicity I'm thinking the obvious choice would be a smaller one? Ideally wanting a more realistic sound rather than super electro.  

We have a budget of 200 maxxx

Maybe consider something like an old Boss DR660? Doesn't compete with modern software in terms of sample detail, but might work ok for you
