Will probably be my next amp! I'll likely go for the head version though.

Not generally a fan of Marshalls - but that sounds very good.

I may have to try one....

what the fuck is going in with his strap, retarded placement on a bolt on neck guitar.

Do you think that through a 2x12 or 4x12 it would sound big and loud enough for a 1 guitar rock band?

Yep, I should imagine so. Shouldn't think you'd need to go as big as a 4x12. You might want to get the head with the vertical 2x12 cab.

I had the 1x12 combo and no problems using it for gigs with  a band. Its a very loud 20 watts and don,t be deceived by the volume knob, its not like some amps where all the volume comes in over the first quarter turn, it gets louder over mostvof the knobs span.

I picked up one of the combos today, i tried one quite a lot in PMT cambridge over the last 18 months, but the relatively high price tag on the new one put me off. Its not that its not worth that kind of money, i'm just bloody tight.

Great amp, it does sound much bigger than you'd expect, full of warmth and that upper mid clarity that i love from a Marshall. Its very easy to dial in and feels great to play through, even at very low volumes. I'll probably switch the Green for a Cream, but other than that, its easily the best amp marshall have produced since the original jubilee models.
