No, we don't have loads of blankets of the same colour all over the house. I use that just to provide a background :-)  I should crop but too little time.

That is what I like about TFB, such friendly people that point out "Erm I think you forgot to add the image" rather than taking the p*ss and saying yep the white version is the best :-)

@Winny_Pooh thanks! I have restrung with thomastik flatwound 11 I did a couple of hours yesterday and i can feel it in my fingertips. I can't restring and clip those strings without some red showing on the string ends. They are silent but I need to learn to let the frets do the work I press too hard I think??

I've never been overly sure about some aspects of the Gretsch look but this is absolutely, absolutely spot on.  

It's one of those special models where everything works visually .... and I've never had any doubts about how they sound
