Many thanks for that, its very well priced for sure. My preference is really for the earlier 'smaller guard' models (61-65 or reissues of that era).

Have you considered the 2011-2012 SG Special '60s tribute?

I used to be on the same quest as you but settled on a white '60s tribute. I fitted it with CTS TVT pots, Faber hardware and Lollar P90s. No wraparound bridge but it is a very lively and nice sounding guitar and I have played a couple of '60s SGs.

Yeh, I did look at the 50th Anniversary 'Who' model of 2011/12, might still consider one, but I really want the real deal 'player' or the Custom Shop RI. Red is my preference but not absolutely fixed.
