Victory Kotzen amp

err...Victory will release an amp based on some criteria that Ritchie Kotzen has told them he likes and will appear in several Youtube videos telling us how great it is, they will give him some free amps and he will play them at some gigs before moving on to a different brand when he fancies a change or the sponsorship ends or he gets another sponsorship offer.

How's that? :-)

Of the numerous people with endorsement deals Kotzen does actually seem to tour them.

 He did a rig rundown that was his sig guitar into sig pedal thingy then his no longer available sig amp. He used that rig for the first Winery Dogs tour.

Interesting that Victory have managed to get an American on board. Should boost their transatlantic profile a little. Would be good if they can get a more mainstream performer using their amps.

This comes from a an interview with Mr K I've just heard, said he's there because of Martin Kidd who used to do his old Cornfords. 

Says its got lots of gain, single channel, reverb, foot switchable boost and trem.

Ah sorry, it's a technical term meaning 'exciting and interesting sounding'

I don't associate Kotzen with lots of gain to be honest.  His sound, to me, is like a really cranked clean amp, kind of like very early Yngwie. 

I have a Young Guitar DVD where he's talking about his Cornford amp and he said that design was based on an old Marshall amp, that he used to record the Poison album Native Tongue, with a Tubescreamer in front of it.

I think it's a bit of the early van halen affect. 
You think it's more gain than it really is, just because of the attack and aggression in some of the playing.

And yours truly just bought an RK100 this very morning! I don't care how much better and cheaper the new Victory will be, imho the Cornford RK is one sexy lookin amp.

Yup, I really think that along with my Matchless that's me finished in the gear stakes.... A helix LT and thats me finito.
I hope lol. I have a Power Station too so hopefully can experience the RK opened up a bit too.....

I've never played a Kotzen Tele. 

However my Tele was a similar spec, quite chunky neck, Dimarzio Tele buckers.
