I would love to get a firebird one day, maybe one with a slightly downsized body so it doesn't look ridiculous.

Nope, why go Epi for £600 with one p/up that makes JB even richer than he already is
I don't like the tone of this.

I don't see what's wrong with supporting an artist by buying their signature gear, especially when it's nice like that Firebird is. I don't really understand the misgivings about Bonamassa anyway, but even considering that, it hardly screams his name, does it?

And one pickup is entirely correct for this style of guitar.
LOL! I should have put a smilie on - as I mentioned that I'm a JB fan I kind of thought you'd have realised this was meant very tongue in cheek! D
Clearly I didn't see that  Never mind.

I have a Gibson Firebird V but I'm still tempted the new Epi Firebird 1. I think the Firebird 1 is one of the best looking guitars ever, probably alot to do with early Clapton rocking one.

No sunbursts anywhere.  I knew I should have just bought one on the spot.

Those Epiphone Firebirds are the only guitar giving me any GAS at present.

    You're giving one away??
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

It's be available for a while @usedtobe so I reckon I may have to give it away to clear space in the wall

they are one of those guitars.   Lots of people love them, but they are not confident they are cool enough to pull it off..

or they are put off by height comments.   ignoring the coolest firbeird player due to gender -  PJ harvey (5' 3" sans heels).

Clapton is average height at 5' 10" ish

    Brian Jones at 5' 5"

johnny winter was a short arse (internet say 5' 3")

Okay Phil Manzanera is well over 6'

The tallest is clearly the least cool ;)

  • never mind the height , i think it is a prerequisite you have to have long hair to play one, rules me out
