As per a separate sale thread in Misc, unexpected hefty car bill sees me wanting to release some capital quite quickly.

This is a custom built RD Ampflication Dualist as per this thread: http://thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/99419/nad-dualist#latest

Mine is a head version, running on 2 x 6L6s, cathode biased, with tube buffered reverb and effects loop.
It's an incredibly fat and harmonically rich sounding amp that can go from pristine Dumble/Two Rock cleans to saturated lead tones by rolling up your guitar volume control (or stomping on a footswitch).

This was the prototype dualist. It originally ran a quad of 6V6s but I preferred 5881s and 6L6WGCs so Rob swapped the transformers, rewired it and has since incorporated various other refinements so that it's essentially the amalgam and pinnacle of his work IMHO.

Its putting out around 40 watts but has a very clever dual cascading gain stage that lets you run it from home volume to outdoor gig volume easily.

Front controls are:
Single/Dual (gain stage), Gain 1(with bright switch via pull/push pot), Treble, Bass, Middle (fat switch via pull/push pot), Gain 2, Level, Filter, Master, Reverb.

Rear:
Boost control (footswitchable and can either be used to swap single to dual gain stage or add a fixed mid boost if you're already on dual mode), FX Loop send/return, single speaker out and 4/8/16 ohm selector.

Its also hand signed and dated by Rob.
Im based in Newport South Wales and work in Bristol but am often mobile.

If you want any further info then let me know.
Cheers,
Alex

That's one of the best demos I've seen of the Dualist @AlexHunter. I would've bought my one if I'd seen that first.  I had to to take a leap of faith but others here can see for themselves that it's a versatile amp. Bargain

Now you know why I went for it @Wazmeister ;. Brilliant amp and thoroughly decent chap Rob is who will build you one. But here you don't need to wait the 3-4 months build time, you can have one immediately. Guys, fill your boots. :)

@Wazmeister it's a corker. Are you still using a Redplate? I remember some discussion on amps that 'bloom' and this is definitely in that category.

I have no affiliation to Alex apart from owning one of these amps but you guys really could be in with a chance in picking up a great amp, I've just come back from rehearsal and my Dualist sounded awesome. My band prefer it to the Laxy J20. Probably because it has a master volume  ;)

How has nobody bought this amp yet! It's a crazy deal. The harmonic complexity and richness of this amp produces is staggering.

Whoever buys this will love it

Years ago I used a Carlsbro 60TC point to point hand wired head which was a seriously good amp ( I've now got it back but that's another story ) - I moved to a Marshall Anniversary Combo, good amp but jack of all trades / master of none - then Mesa DC5 which was better - then Bogner Shiva 20th Anniv because it was way better than the Mesa, and now the Dualist which is different to the Bogner but as good if not better in many ways. Still have the Bogner but the Dualist is a joy to play through....
