Not too sure on the colour, my Razzberry plus deluxe more pinky , isn't that Torino red?

@armitaan I've been in doubt of this myself, but prior to it going to tech, I had a look under the guard and it certainly has the pinkish of razzberry, with the exposed area having darkened over the last 30 years. I suppose it is possible that it's a Torino Red but going by the photos online, that's too deep of a red colour, and could also be possibly fiesta red?

Below from Xhefri of known Razzberry showing very similar tonality:

That's Razzberry, not red enough for Torino and Fiesta red has more of an orangey tint to it if that makes sense.

Out of interest, why do you say that, was there any difference in manufacturing or materials/components in those years compared with later years? Thanks.

The lacquer on the later Plus’ guitars was satin and, IMO, not as good. Sperzels were replaced in the later models with Fender lockers.

More than anything however, production levels were pretty low in those early Corona days in order to restore the floundering reputation gained in the 1970s’ and early 1980s’ to its former glory. The simply had to make good instruments to ensure the company’s longer term success.

In short, it was a good era for the company.

Are the scratchplate and other plastic parts replacements or have they actually aged to that cream colour?
