Does anyone trigger iOS or Mainstage -based backing tracks live?

This approach has entered my head recently for solo stuff - anyone doing it live in any setting?

I've grabbed Group The Loop as it looks like it should do this for iOS (it certainly says midi control is possible in the blurb)

I'll probably grab Mainstage too as it's only £30 (which is mad as you get ALL the plugin and synth content that comes in Logic!) I just want to make sure I won't end up with all the content doubled up on my drive first.
