Could be, no idea when the Washburn sig came out but I recall seeing an N2 in the Get The Funk Out video, which was released I think 1991, my guess is it's a Charvel neck and a homemade body, looks to have the Bill Lawrence XL500 bridge pup tho.

I seem to recall that Nuno himself made the first proto, by combining bits he liked with a Charvel body that he shaved down in order to make it physically smaller (hence the small body on his sig guitars). I'm also pretty sure that his first sig deal - definitely with Charvel - fell through after he used them on the Extreme I tour (88-89) which is what led him to Washburn, so it's entirely possible that this is one of the Charvel protos. I'm reasonably certain that they didn't end up making a production model.

That being the case, this is extremely rare (excuse the pun) and I'd be surprised if Nuno himself didn't grab hold of it.

It's an early 90's Japanese Charvel HDK-125NB, and the seller is probably regretting refusing my offer of £750 cash on collection when I was in London a couple of weeks ago (it was previously listed on eBay for quite a bit more)

Do you think he'd be that interested in it ?
From what I can tell he's prettty much stuck to the same N4 since he got it

It wasn't a Charvel body, it was a Schecter body and a Warmoth neck to make the original N1 (before Washburn built his N2)

There's a couple of knock-off N4 guitars made by Charvel, ESP and, if I remember rightly, BC Rich.
