Looking to build a great tele. 

Any advice on kits or parts would be really helpful.

    If you are going for quality then assemble your own kit. Get a body and neck from @GSPBASSES or Guitarbuild, pickups from Oil City or Mojo, and other bits from Axetec, Axesrus, etc.

    I've built a SAGA TC10 kit. When I got it 10 years ago there wasn't much else to choose from around the £100 mark. I still have it and it is by no means perfect but as a kit it was pretty good for the price. Everything worked and fitted together. IIRC push fit connectors for the pickups and pre-wired control plate and jack were a nice touch. I had a few issues with the truss rod, but that was more my fault than the kit's.

    If I was doing another kit, which I am itching to do and if I could afford it I wouldn't buy another kit. I would do as @Roland suggests above.

    Can't sing, can't dance, can handle a guitar a little.
