I can't add anything of much worth that's guitar related, but I'll happily donate a day of my time to take someone for a free climbing lesson / day in either the Lakes, Peaks, Northumberland or Northern Gritstone areas (That basically covers most of Yorkshire and Lancashire). I'll supply equipment, safety briefing and instruction and get you up at least 2 quality climbs. This is suited to a beginner rather than an experienced climber obviously. 

Is that ok?

Addendum: 

I know some people are in the South. I also know there are some rocks in the South. For the avoidance of doubt; I'm not traveling down there for it, because all the southern rock is shit!

Addendum 2:

Yes, I know Wales has good rock, but it's too far away. Scotland has great rocks, but if you live in Scotland and don't already climb there's no hope for you and you'll never amount to anything. You should be ashamed of yourself.

And there's plenty of good southern rock .... you just gotta dig the Allman Brothers up to find it...
