Mine is after a Gunshot: low gain, volume hike for solos, mids pushed.

I've taken two pedals off my board since the veteran. Can't see why I'd need them. Still fancy a peacekeeper though ;)

Boost, Low gain, always on pedal, works with any kind of amp. It's impossible to answer because it does so much really. Before other pedals, after other pedals etc etc. It's just so flexible.
Sorry I realise this isn't much help.

I use mine after the Warthog to turn a JTM45 crunch into a lead tone. I originally tried it with the PK going into the WH, but it's so much better after it. Both Thorpy and I were surprised and I grin each time I use it. On its own, it's also very versatile

I use mine to add a bit of grit to my clean amp, and to push the Gunshot for solos.

Would a peacekeeper be suitable for tightening up/boosting a cranked amp for playing metal (bit like a tubescreamer)?

OK; I have back to backed this with a lot of similar pedals- including a Cornish CC1.

It has a clarity that's astonishing. Really open, strident, middy.

Whenever I am searching for 'that overdriven but clean tone' I will go through the tube glitteratia in the rack, get frustrated and then try the PK and it's like wow.

It's seen off CC1's, yellow side of KoT, Tube Drivers, TImmys....

Utterly one of the best pedals I've ever tried. The only one I've not b2b'd it against is the Tim and I'd like to.

One thing I've found, don't set the volume low and gain high- but that applies to any dirt pedal.

It does a clean midboost brilliantly, it does crunch sublimely.

It can do if you set it that way. Ridiculously versatile pedal.
