Softer neck pick up to pair with crunchlab.

JetfireJetfire Frets: 1696
My ibanez rga121 has a dimarzio crunchlab and liquifire john petterucci (sic) set in it but I dont get on with the liquifire. I tend to use the neck pick up for clean softer tones. Any suggestion?

Something alnico 2 loaded at a PAF level output sounds like it would fit the bill.

    PafPro by Dimarzio FTW.

Its an astonishingly good pickup in almost any guitar.

    Or

    Air Norton

Again bloody brilliant pickup, but there are Pettruci connections with that, so not sure if it's what you want or not.

Steves Special  very clear 'balanced' tone, the Steve in question is Steve Blucher head designer at Dimarzio.

    Evo Neck
Quite articulate and very flat response pickup, works well with a good deal of hot bridge buckers.

All of the above I had in Ibanez or Washburn super strats with 24 fret necks.
