At an open mic night a while back a guy went up to do the following songs....i was amazed at everyone who was singing - non-rockers and rockers alike - their little hearts out (alcohol had been added as an essential ingredient right enough):

    Rocket man - Elton John
    A little respect - Erasure

This wasn't anything similar to the version i heard.....just thought i'd share the video

    C'mon Everybody

We used to play C'mon Everybody in the Sex Pistols style in a band I was in. The singer never really knew the lyrics so used to sing this in the chorus "I don't know the words and nor do you....Hoo C'mon Everybody"

Crowd loved it, he used to hold the microphone into the audience for the chorus and random drunk punks would scream down the mic.

    Good times.
Did a similar thing years back but with Humble Pie's version of 'C'mon everybody'

There is no dark side of the moon really. Matter of fact it's all dark.
I play guitar because I enjoy it rather than because I’m any good at it

Not a song that I like, but Queen's We Are The Champions is a crowd pleaser.

Even more so if in the Chelsea area............unfortunately.

And no one mentions Bryan Adams : Summer of 69?!?!
Chuck in Feel Like Making Love to get the juices flowing and finish off with a rocky 'poker face'. You Me At Six do a good one for reference.
William Shatner's Common People cover adds some spice.
Don't Stop Believin for the High School Musical crowd.

I'm now thinking of a great concept for a band - one that only plays songs banned by the BBC. It could go from With My Little Stick of Blackpool Rock to Ebeneezer Good via Glad to be Gay.

Closely followed by Gary Glitters back catalogue.
