Lap steel + Helix?

Has anybody tried this? I've tried lap steel into S Gear (works ok) and into a zoom g3 (borderline ok clean but couldn't get it to sound right with any dirt). I was wondering how well the helix copes?

Absolutely fine. And I'm struggling to think of a good reason why it wouldn't TBH. I've used it live and it was excellent as I could have a separate patch for the lap which needs EQing quite differently to my normal guitars.

That's good to hear thanks. When tweaking the zoom g3 for lapsteel I came to the conclusion that the g3 didn't work so well naturally because the processing was expecting a different type of tone
