I don't like Strats. Aka NGD. x2

People who know me know I prefer Les Pauls. Old Jap Les Pauls by preference.

And I don't mind Telecasters.

But I don't like strats. 

Honest.

These arrived today. I am:
a) very chuffed
b) a jammy git

On the left is 1994 MIJ Fender Standard. MIJ's are my favourite strats. I sold one years ago and have always wanted to replace it. This is completely stock, and has apparently been unused for 20 years. 

Toying with changing the plastics to black. Depends how badly I pull my CBA muscle.

Next to it is not a real one. It's a mirage. In the form of an utterly, utterly delicious Raygun Relic. Nice fat neck. Creamery pickups. Oh my lord, I have no idea how a talentless philistine like me got this, but I am jolly glad I did. (Actually it was easy, I bought it off Facebook...)

It's lush.

Just to confirm I don't like strats here they are next to my MIJ 62RI....

I like the Raygun a lot. I was very stratty but I have moved away somewhat

Yeah they are horrible, bolt on necks and single coil pickups, what do you think this is, the early 50's!

Which one? Red red or pinky red??

Weird isn't it? I'm not so blown away by the RR that I am currently getting ready to list two other guitars in the classifieds to see if I can talk them into making another one for me.......

Nice @ellwood, the RR looks really cool. I've currently been having lots of fun with an early 60s style sonic blue Danocaster with rocketfire pickups. Need to have a look at the RRs as well.

Have a look at SC Relics as well...some very nice stuff. Am sure this is going to be pretty special when I decide what pickups and get it built up...
