Got mine last week and loving it. First Strymon I can really say that about. Sold the rest. What I like most is its tweakability. You can dial in or out pretty much anything. Still not convinced it melds with the original guitar sound as well as the Stereo Wet I have, but it's got a lot more to it. The Wet does one sound peerlessly. The Strymon has many.

Not a Strymon fan myself, BUT the Big Sky is stunning.

The one pedal I know already will be with me for life. Incredible 'natural' sound, organic almost. I bought a H9 and the BS destryed the verbs on that. Incredible.

By the way, the 'versatile' setting nails the Wet sound and feel, imho

    Chortle.

They'll make a Bigger Sky and the Big Sky will be shipped from Waz Towers at the speed of light

I love mine .... just waiting for the Somerset Levels Sky .. the ultimate range of wet reverbs

Remember, it's easier to criticise than create!

Would it be sensible to keep the 'Flint' just for the trem?

    I'm sure it is...

  • I really want to hear this.

My experience of strymon kit is limited to the El Cap.  And it blew me away!

I had no idea how much it cost, but I was comparing it to a TC Flashback.  And that was brilliant as well! Now I use a TC Repeater, which is a perfect compromise between versatility and ease of use, and a keeper, but the el cap just sounded so good...

My Flint is going as I have a Mobius now which does the same trem. Plus I want a few more options on my reverbs, I could maybe get away with adding a favourite switch or getting a Blue Sky but ......well..... I'm thinking BIIIIGGGGG!

    :-)

Honestly guys, and I really mean this...

I've never found a more creative reverb sound than the Big Sky. It is incredible, for my style.

Whilst it does all the reverb styles, it actually inspires me as an instrument in itself.
