ok so I have a small dilemma I am part way towards a new amp goal but I'm wondering which direction to go in.

Im selling an amp which will release enough funds to purchase a Mesa power amp to go with my Mesa Studio Preamp

Or

Sell the Studio Pre and put all the money towards a S/H Rectifier or similar (suggestions?)

Or

Sack off the Mesa route and get a JetCity 50 or 100 head and buy another H9 with the spare.

I like Spanky cleans, lots of headroom, crushing Gain and a good fx loop is a must as I'm kinda getting hugely into delay and verbs.

Edit: just to preempt.....
I don't like Fenders, I'm not gonna get a Helix and I'm not getting a Katana.......maybe.

I'm a big fan of Dual/triple Recs, i like the early 2 channel ones the best, but the 3 channel ones are still a real force. I wasn't that keen on the reborn one, for me it added features that weren't really needed. Nothing "gushes" like a recto, for me it'll always be the definitive high gain tone.

Theres a lot of other good stuff to consider: Brunetti XL-Evo RII, Diezel Einstein/D moll, VHT/Fryette, H&K Trilogy / TriAmp.

The biggest issue here is: will the person (or ideally people!) lifting it be able to do so without sustaining permanent back damage?

@DLM I do get where you are coming from, but for example, where a Fender Deluxe Reverb would be a great choice for a lot of players, it wouldn't suit me, same as a Plexi etc.

Once it's in the practice room, it's staying put, original band, so not huge amount of gigs, weight is not really a deciding factor for me at this time.

Yeah, I'm tempted by a few Single Rec 50 heads about currently, just wondering how they compare to a Mark type boogie tone?
