I saw Paul Rodgers tonight on the FREE spirit tour and it was great! He still has a fantastic voice. The only problem I had was the guitarists tone, there was nothing wrong with it and he was a good guitarist but after all these years of listening to FREE and Kossoff's playing it was hard to adjust. It was still bloody brilliant mind so no worries there! Anyone else see him on this tour?

I have a PR DVD I bought recently and felt exactly the same - Rodgers' voice seems effortlessly powerful yet also deeply soulful, but both guitarists had unforgivably fizzy and naff tone. Surely the woody, less-is-more Kossoff tone is the go to for guitarists backing Paul Rodgers?!
