  • Amazing guitar. What is the condition of the frets 5/6 years on? Also, do you know how the body is routed? Cheers

  • Hi, routing is standard vintage 60's. Did Fender change it later or something? I can photograph if needed. There's certainly some wear on the frets but zero issues with buzzing/choking. It plays fantastically and intonation is spot on. A wonderful Strat, sad to see this one go. Thanks.

Within 30 mile radius of where?

Got any more pics and do you have an accurate weight for the guitar? Thanks.

Where are you? A rough location/county/town would be helpful.

cracking guitar is this, I know, cos it used to be mine!. bought it off a guy who worked in the USA a lot. He told me he hand picked this Strat from a "wall full of relics" at Sam Ashes. I see its had bigger frets put on it, something I wish I had done whilst I had it as it was only the thin vintage style frets that made me move it on. At the time when I bought it, 2003, it was a very rare colour in the UK.

It wouldn't be that radical for the OP to actually state 'Hampshire' in the post would it?!

Hampshire's a fairly decent sized county, as it goes.

Seriously, though - it can be a bit of a pain when sellers don't put their location in the ad, and then there's either no mention of location, or a pretty vague idea of location, in their home page... Can be somewhat unhelpful. 30 miles from Hampshire doesn't really tell us much, does it?

Not meaning to be a twat, here - we're all human, and we all screw up from time to time. Let's keep it civil, though, eh, guys... ;)
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.
