edited June 2017 in Studio & Rec £
Behringer B1200D or similar, on a budget, but just need something small, lightweight and capable of spreading a kick drum sound and taking the load off of my HK tops when playing DJ music.

12" subs only please!

*Note, this is for live use, I'm not looking for studio subs.*

I have a Focal CMS Sub Pro Sub - used in a non smoking studio at low level paired with ATC 25A. 3 years old. Excellent condition, original box and packaging, manual. £375

I have a DB Opera Sub 12 - 300w RMS that I probably won't need anymore. Any good to you?

What's the bass extension on the tops? Without that, correctly speccing a sub is impossible, you risk a hole between the sub and the mid-tops.

I know its not ideal, but I'm running HK pro 12" tops, out of the left side, linked in mono then a sub from the right out on the desk, then panning and eq'ing individual channels to decide how much signal is sent to the sub or tops

Okey doke - so you need a sub that goes up to at least 68Hz so that you don't get a gap, but also goes far enough below that to be useful. I'd generally want a sub that gives another octave, so it needs to cover 34Hz upwards at -3dB (not -10dB). I'm not sure a small 12-er is going to do that.
