So at sound check this evening the bass players amp started playing up- sounding very farty and over driven..... And got progressively worse until it went phut. All sorts of stress and knashing of teeth ensues. Local chap just rocks up and brings his (frankly fucking ace) Eden head and cab down to help out. He wouldn't accept any dosh and was ace: 'I'm not playing much bass these days so it was nice to hear someone else use it. I was tempted to bring the 4x12 cab but thought it might be a bit over powering.' The most we could do was to get him to accept a beer. What a bloody top chap for lending his rig out, no questions asked.
