SOLD: Fender "Squier Series" Jazz Bass.

I need to sell this bass, as I have a Squier CV now and don't need two basses. I'm looking for £170 delivered.

The Squier Series were a short-lived range that were basically MIM Standard bodies and necks equipped with cheaper Squier hardware and electrics. I bought this in a somewhat neglected state, stripped it down, cleaned it up, and fitted some better hardware and electrics. I replaced the crappy one-piece pickguard and Strat knobs with a proper pickguard and a control plate wired with quality pots (CTS I think), Sprague orange drop capacitor and a Switchcraft jack socket. I did have MIM Standard Jazz Bass pickups in there initially but after one broke I replaced them with Alnico Wilkinson ones, which although quite inexpensive, are much better made than the ceramic bar magnet Fenders and sound better (probably because they're wound a bit hotter). I didn't feel the need to replace the tuners or the neck plate.

The cons:

 - the usual lacquer cracks
- some dings and chips (but good honest wear)
- I had to plug and re-drill the bridge mounting holes because the G string was too close to the edge of the fingerboard and loosening the neck screws to shift it didn't do it. However, this has led to a misalignment between the strings and the bridge pickup polepieces. It doesn't seem to affect the sound though.

The pros:

- A Fender for the price of a Squier! Actually, it strikes me how similar this plays to my newer Squier. It's slightly louder acoustically than the Squier, and definitely punchier plugged in.

In summary - a bit rough round the edges but plays and sounds ok.

Argh; this looks fantastic and I've been looking for a cheapy Fender. I own a Squier Series strat and tele too. Is there anything you'd be looking for as a trade either in full, or partially to offset the cost?
