Dunlop Echoplex Delay or Belle Epoch or Lovepedal Hermida EPH-3 Tape Echo

My 40th is fast appoaching! I'm thinking I'd like a tape delay... I've owned a Belle Epoch... loved it and miss it. 
I do own a Deluxe Memory Man Big Box and that's staying with me.
I briefly owned a used Dunlop Echoplex unfortunately it didn't come with a PSU and my pedal power supply couldn't handle the current draw... I didn't even get to listen to the damn thing so sent it back... what would you go for?

Why not save up an extra kidney, arm and leg and get a real tape echo like the T-Rex Binson one?

Again I'm leaning towards the Echoplex for simplicity and less controls to worry about compared to the BE.

I am tempted also... I will need to upgrade my pedal power to power the strymon stuff! what's it like at slapback? I really like a dirty sounding tape delay does the El Cap do this?

The El Cap does a good slapback and works well in front of a dirty sounding amp. It's all round great and is very tweakable, I love the tape aging emulation.

I had one of my 'fazes' last year... a real 'tape' faze...

I bought and compared loads of em; the Dunlop Echoplex actually, I thought, sounded and felt closest to the 'real' tape delays.

The El Cap was very good too; not quite as 'real' but def more versatile.
