What's Hot
Anyone have a 50's LP junior of any description that they might be daft enough to part with?

Their prices seem ridiculously in general but I guess it's because of their location, but sill?????

It's actually £4500 at new king road, but it has a headstock break, so not a bargain! Exchange rate seems to have pushed prices up?
    im looking for one too...

hang on, I'm confused now. NKR are advertising two TV juniors on their website: a double cut 59 for 11,500 and a 56 single (that actually seems to be a 55 from the seriel no.) at 9,500.
Are you saying they also have one at 4,500 or is one of those two the broken headstock one at 4,500/

Broken headstock for over £4K is silly. David Pym has a near mint single cut for around the same price - http://www.davidjpym.com/page365.html
and if that's too much there's a players double cut at Phil's Vintage Guitars in Thame - http://www.philsvintageguitars.com/gibson.html

Or have you considered an early 60's Epiphone Wilshire? Very cool guitars in the same vein as a junior and made in the same factory with the same materials. https://vintageandrareguitars.com/product/1961-epiphone-wilshire-2/

I sold a nice 58 a few years back in a no reserve ebay auction for about £1200 when funds were tight :'(

Thanks for pointing those two out James. Pym's one is in fab condition! Might well have to take a look at that. Does he ever accept offers or are prices firm do you know?

I believe he takes offers, although he knows the market so don't expect bargains.

I'd take that David P one all day long if I didn't already have a special

I've heard Mr Pym might be prepared to negotiate. But look carefully at the sunburst on that SC (lower pic) it is not the prettiest I've seen and that's probably why it's at that price. They should look more like this imho, a lot less heavy-handed with the spray gun on the dark band.

He doesn't take offers as such. He likes a good negotiate tho - it's part of the fun for him. Gen up, get your facts right and have a good couple of hours chinwag with him. He's a lovely bloke and you get a good cuppa, and he'll trot out a whole range of gems for you to play. Once he knows you are serious and want to buy I would 100% expect you to walk out paying less than his advertised price.

I quite like it, reminds me of the early L-00 and Kalamazoo guitars

The thing about those earlier single cuts is the spacing of the bridge to the pickup, which means in many case you end up having to repair the thin piece of wood that separates them.

My 58 has a much larger spacing, and the edges are brown stain rather than black.
