This is too deep for a vintage-accurate Stratocaster routing.
That is so helpful I have been searching for hours on google for that info.
1.Are all the pups the same height?
2.Would they fit in a 19.5mm cavity?I think that is what they call a standard cavity.
A2 - I once tried offering up the complete scratchplate assembly from a 2008 American Deluxe Stratocaster into an MIM Classic Player body. With the pickups sitting on the bottoms of the routed cavities, the pickguard (still adjusted for the Am Dlx) stood three or four mm proud of the body.
Were your pups flush with the top of the pickguard when you tried that?.....sorry about all the Q's
