Baseplate solder blobs to tallest rod magnet, 7/8ths of an inch (24mm).

This is too deep for a vintage-accurate Stratocaster routing.

    OK thanks Funkfingers
That is so helpful I have been searching for hours on google for that info.
1.Are all the pups the same height?
2.Would they fit in a 19.5mm cavity?I think that is what they call a standard cavity.

Another issue would be how much those wires take up below the pup base plate.

    A1 - Yes
A2 - I once tried offering up the complete scratchplate assembly from a 2008 American Deluxe Stratocaster into an MIM Classic Player body. With the pickups sitting on the bottoms of the routed cavities, the pickguard (still adjusted for the Am Dlx) stood three or four mm proud of the body.

Not sure of the depth of a MIM classic player.Mine is a MIJ 19.5mm deep.
Were your pups flush with the top of the pickguard when you tried that?.....sorry about all the Q's

No. As mentioned in my previous post, the scratchplate assembly was in the exact state of adjustment that it had been in whilst it was on the American Deluxe Stratocaster.
