Edit your post and change it to the word "Toast".

Is that so Chilli can regret not having a toaster, and delete it for you?

Looks like the quotes aren't working properly. If someone posts a line of text, then hits return

and post another line, it puts the second line outside the quote.

Will there be a more detailed way of keeping track of the rep system - i.e. seeing which of one's posts have been voted up (not necessarily disclosing who dished out the rep), via some kind of notification system?

Just out of curiosity more than anything. It'd be cool to keep track! :D

I would like that, so I think it's fair to say that if we can work it out (the current plugin doesn't, AFAIK, support that) then we'll implement it.

I think it'd be useful to be able to see what one had been facepalmed for. However, I think it's critical that the votes be anonymous.

And remember that if anyone posts something that's way, way out of line you can use the "flag" button above the post to report it. We're all hopeful that with the community able to vote stuff directly that won't be needed very often - if at all.

You get a fret whenever clicks on the LOL/Wow!/Wisdom icons at the bottom of one of your posts.

Having trouble posting images here?  This might help.

not likely to get many then   :-B

although I do agree they should be anonymous,  it would be good to see 'why' you got the appropriate 'fret'  what piece of information you provided

Yup.  We're looking at whether/how that can be achieved.  No breath-holding though - we're not intended to make any changes for the first couple of weeks.

    Stability, stability, stability!

That could easily end up in a "Travelling Discussions" game. :D
Edit: or is it something you can actually do already? :-O

Yes. I accidentally created a post in the guitar forum that belonged in OT.

Haven't we already got that? The buttons under each post seem to show how many times they've been hit - like you got +1 wisdom for the post I quoted, and somebody (holnrew) got two facepalms for this ...

    (Or am I being dense?)

but that assumes you're in the thread or you know the thread to look in ? which is the problem.  Tho I guess you're saying "the data is already there, we just need to know who to collect it, and present it in a better way ??"

Clicking in the comment area doesn't activate the keyboard on my Nexus 7. It seems to work when I click the two red arrows (source?)

Probably because the WYSIWYG uses an iframe superimposed to the comment area.
I don't think this behaviour can be modified though. :-S
