Should a 6L6GC rattle?

Just bought a new one, JJ 6L6GC and it seems to rattle when moved - should it?

I've plugged in and installed it - all seems well but should I be concerned?  The Groove Tubes 6L6GC it replaces doesn't seem to.

Ha! I never had a MICROPHONIC EL34 in 50 years. Got them in the last ten!

Much of modern valves are ***T!

    Dave.

They often do. If it doesn't come out through the speaker the only issue is whether it irritates you when playing at low volume.

I first came across badly microphonic power valves with the early Chinese ones in the late 80s. I had a Marshall combo to repair which would set up a constant low rumble and then sound like a blown speaker when you actually played through it. 'PM Tubes' EL34s - they put me off modern-production valves even back then, and I still think the old ones are better.
