No mention of his name in the preview stuff  FWIW.

Pretty sure that's right ( that's what it said in the paper anyway).

Definitely presented by Earl ( and promoting his new projects to some extent) and no Phil X ( so he's in the Netflix one then).
I don't know if I learned much from it but not bad. Sidemen for Bowie, Prince, Billy Joel, Beyoncé, Rolling Stones.

It was from the previous week. I quite enjoyed it - people taking about bands and stuff - although it's probably not going to blow anybody's mind. The Stones were quite well represented so for a fan maybe worth it for those bits.

Again. Sigh. With the amount of stuff the BBC must have in their vaults you'd think they'd show something new.  :p

I'm not sure about that. The BBC had an unfortunate habit of wiping their tapes to re-use them. Otherwise they wouldn't have been able to pay their top tier management nice fat salaries.

In the past maybe, but they must have plenty of stuff from the last 20 odd years? Probably longer than that.

Actually that reminds me, I've got a mate who worked for the BBC. He "borrowed" a tape of a Whitesnake appearance and made his own copy. When they were looking to show it again someone realised the original had been wiped. My mate confessed what he'd done and they used his copy.

All of the above-mentioned programmes were transmitted on BBC4. A high proportion of content on this channel now seems to be repeats. A skeptic might suspect that the BBC had plans to kill the channel off - just like they did with BBC3.
