 Martin Whelan’s amps need no introduction here, so I’ll spare you the paragraphs of high praise that they undoubtedly deserve.

For sale or for trade are my two MJW amps.

The first is a 2x12 combo based on a Boogie Mk1, its a great pedal platform amp with bags of clean headroom. It has an effects loop and the second preamp control is switched in and out via a footswitch, rather than having two separate inputs. Its loaded with 6550s and the speakers are Tayden High Brits. Comes with Roqsolid cover. GONE

 The second started life a a V6-20 head but ended up as an L6-40 head and is based on the JTM45. Its has an effects loop, half power switch and dual master volume controls that are switched between via a footswitch. Currently loaded with E34Ls. The cab is loaded with 2x Tayden True Brits. Comes with Roqsolid covers.

 Both these amps have been gigged but they’re in good condition and have never let me down. Save for the usual minor scuffs and a small tear in the tolex on the bottom of the cab, courtesy of my boot catch, there’s no massive signs of any damage. Much to my wife’s annoyance both these amps have been stored inside the house the whole time I’ve owned them.

 Earlier this year I decided to get myself an ABY box so that I could use these amps simultaneously in a wet/dry set up, and they sound phenomenal together. So, why am I selling then? Well, because my tinnitus is getting worse and I’m one step away from needing a hearing aid! Sad but true, so something has to give and I don’t really want it to be my hearing.

 Trades wise, I am specifically and primarily interested in the Fender 68 Deluxe Reverb Silverface RI, the one with the Bassman tonestack.

 Cash wise, I’m looking at £650. Payment would be cash on collection from the Yorkshire region, the amps are in Huddersfield. Happy to meet halfway somewhere also, but I’m not comfortable using couriers for these things. No Paypal here I'm afraid. Bank transfer possible if preferred.
