In one amp, any reccomendations on who I should look at?

Been looking at the Redplate Magica but that's not easy to find over here.

Budget is around £1000.

Cheers

Danny

    This.

Or a 65 Amps Soho and a Marshall style pedal.
    Or Suhr/CAA.

I've been looking into a few of the Carr amps with the possibility of keeping a few pedals, but id rather get the dirt from my amp.

Sell the pedals and buy a Carr Slant then. Wonderful blackface clean channel and Marshallesque dirt channel.

Bogner Shiva - as long as you don't want a light amp... EL34 model isn't quite blackface in the clean but it is very, very impressive. Drive channel rocks, plus footswitchable boost and the master volume manages to make it sound great even at low volumes. Don't know what the 6L6 version is like though.

Edit: would have to be 2nd hand to fit in your budget

Not even close. I very briefly owned one…

Blackface clean - sort of, although it's always tighter and darker and doesn't have the deep 'bounce' or sparkle of a Fender.

Marshall crunch - not even remotely close. It can't do anything like a Marshall tone because the tone stack is in the wrong place - pre-distortion - and although the graphic EQ is post-distortion is still doesn't sound anything like a Marshall. (And really you want to GEQ to make the lead channel sound great, not to try to fix the problem with R2.)

Boogie lead - outstanding. If you want it for that and the clean sound it's a great amp. But I really wanted a Marshall crunch so it swiftly went back!

The Mesa that's closest to a Marshall is the Stiletto, I think - although I got my Trem-o-verb to sound very like one too, with a passable Fender clean sound. These later Mesas (not Boogies) have a post-distortion tone stack.
