What song are you most enjoying playing at moment?

I am enjoying playing the Melodians - sweet sensations - subtle groove and a beautiful melody.

BIlly Idol's "Rebel Yell", or Tom Petty's "Runnin' Down a Dream" are my favorites.

"I won't let you down" by PhD - great song, basic verse E and A chord progression then startling-for-a-pop-song chorus progression that goes into Lydian mode territory and is emotive to solo over, plus no prominent guitar on the original so I put my own stamp on it.

As we're recently got a new singer we've taken the opportunity to change the set list a little. We do a couple of fairly raucous versions of "Tainted love" and "Kids in America". There are no real solos in them for me but  it's all about the crowd isn't it? They really give it some when we play these ; usual mid second set when everyone's pissed (apart from us, obviously!) and they're in party mode.

"Turning Japanese" by the Vapours and "Walk" by Foo Fighters are a couple of my favourites at the moment.

Find Me by Kings of Leon, and Pacifier by Catfish and the Bottlemen are two slightly off the beaten track covers we're enjoying at the moment.

I like it when guitarists forget it is in 6.

@octatonic Uncommon time signatures are always a good laugh when watching pub covers bands. I've seen a couple of bands who did "Times Like These" by the Foos. Utter UTTER car crash.

If you mean the song I'm thinking of, the main vocal refrain in the chorus is "My mama said ...", but the title is "Always On The Run".

Lazy Sunday afternoon, did it as a request at a bbq acoustic jam thing. Btw spellchecker had it as bbw, which would have been much better.

Times like these, My old band did the Glenn Campbell version. Much easier to play, good fun with a double bass and a Telecaster playing lead guitarist.

Yes, I misunderstood the subject of this thread. Fix You is a rip-off of Where Is My Mind. I guess I could cover it though, if I were in a band. :)

Old Folks - Willard Robison (Charlie Parker version). Gorgeous harmony (albeit corny for some!) that's right at the root of much 20th century popular music.
