Lately a few guitar puzzles have been keeping me awake at night.

How long would I have to study or how much experience would I require in order to convert a Les Paul style pickup switch to work side to side rather than up or down?  I've considered this mod for a while but wasn't sure how to go about it.

Are classic aluminium Jap strap buttons considered to be the best around?

Does a good bell truss rod cover increase sustain?

When tuners "Tune nicely for their age and construction", does it mean the are actually a bit shit?

Where can I purchase a set old salvage strings?

How long can I leave the strings on my guitar and still call them new?

What are the main differences between an cover band guitar and the type of guitar I would need to play original compositions?

You'd think that a professional guitar restorer, someone with a reputation to build and protect, would at least make sure that they'd secured their domain name.  Wouldn't you?
