What's the best clear coat (spray) to use when adding a decal to the guitar head stock.

It depends on what your waterslide transfer is made from. Did the supplier offer any advice?

Whatever you use it's best to start with a few mist coats, if the transfer gets too wet it can soften and wrinkle.

I always stick waterslides down with a bit of white PVA in the water, this means they are less likely to suffer the above if lacquered over and if on top of the lacquer, the only way to get them off is to sand them off.
