If anyone fancies building their own 5E3 then this kit on ebay looks pretty good value.
The cabinet is a lovely rich laquered nicotine finish.
I must say I'm pretty tempted myself.

    Seems extravagant to pay seven hundred quid for a kit when you could have this pre-owned Cornell Romany for five hundred. 

    Admittedly, the basic Romany 10 has a reputation for sounding a little boxy but, then, isn't that exactly what the original small tweed Fenders do?



    P.S. - I quite like the fact that the eBay vendor is a Jim from Hanwell.

    Lovely looking amp. I wonder if anyone around has tried/built one?

    I see there is a refurbished pre-made one that was returned to swap it for the Bassman model for around £430.  Great looking leather handle straps as well.
