..are, on the whole, not fitted.  Don't buy the Allparts one as the hole in the middle is too small, the script is not too good and the colour is a bit off and, more significantly, there is barely enough contact between the nut and the switch to get a good tight joint as the nut is much shallower than previously.

Having wasted an hour of my life trying to fit the thing, and finally succeeded with the switch upside down, I would say don't bother.
I may try and fit a proper Gibson one at some point and see if it's any better but I have my doubts as to the fit, if not the look.

And is there a special tool for tightening the nut?

There used to be a guy on the Seymour Duncan User Group forum whose avatar was a close-up of a selector switch surround bearing the legend STFU GTFO.

    Serves you right ;)
One day I'm going to make a guitar out of butter to experience just how well it actually plays.

Couldn't you just buy a 2015 one?  There still seems to be loads of stock around...?

Sorry, I had to be the one to whack a 2015 thread in here, personally never understood the fuss.  There ARE a lot of 2016 ones around in good deals though.

Presumably you need a 'poker chip' for playing it at 'P&W' through your 'rig'?

I found that too. The hole is easily enlarged but I assumed the wood must be thicker than older models.

    The ESP tool is great.

Black or cream?  There were no cream ones to be had in the UK.  The idea of paying £7 for a Gibson one was fine but the £15 postage seemed a bit daft.
I checked every supplier in the UK and in Europe and there were none.  The USA came up with three, including Gibson Amazon.

I just sold a 2015 and replaced it with the 2017.
The poker chip thing didn't cross my mind as I had successfully changed them on all three of my earlier LPs.
Its probably a conspiracy by Gibson.  Sell thousands of them separately and rake in the money on spares.....

It most closely resembles the historic but seems less deep.

An amusing aside at your reference to a "poker chip".

An americanism, just like playing "Praise and Worship through your rig" (amp etc).

Ah............poker chip is easier to type than switch washer.  Didn't realise that it was an Americanism.
