The only route I want is for two more pots.

The headstock is something I was going to look at possibly changing back towards the original when it arrived.

I'll be quite happy to let it stick around for the cost of it.
If nothing else it's a great thing to just have out on display if it ever stops getting played.

I've bought pictures for the wall that cost more than this does !

Stick a Bigsby on this and a set of Creamary Strat-90's and you are in business for less than £400

Tempted myself. Would put a pair of IronGear Jailhouse Rails in there, maybe a push/push pot for tapping them.

    Some good suggestions so far.

My personal goal with this is to try to create a unique guitar that is good quality and reliable enough to play live with for less than £200.

In saying that I don't mean to infer that you couldn't play live with it straight out of the box as I'm sure you could but rather more to refine what it is so it's really nice to play, has a nice quality voicing and is reliable long term.

I'll be very happy if I can achieve that for less than £200.
Even happier if I can learn to work on frets and the nut on this guitar *and* make a good job of it.

Mahogany neck? That's an odd choice for the rest of the features.

so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

At the risk of being lambasted for not going along with the humourous replies, I have a feeling it stands for 'Super Light'

High end and mid-range guitars seem to be going up in price exponentially, yet the lowest end offerings from Fender and Gibson seem to be getting better, and cheaper.

Incredible that you can get a guitar made from real woods, not ply, all the components, including Grover tuning pegs, put together and shipped across the world, sold for £99 and still make a profit worth the hassle.

Much more fun as a mod platform in this colour:

Think my daughters would like it in that colour.  Tempting to get one for them to use, to protect my nice guitars.

I'm thinking that the Turquoise would look good alongside my daphne blue 60 relic Telecaster....

For £99 that baby blue model would make a fantastic starter electric for a young lad.

QFT - there has never been a better time to start playing, you could get everything you want in a half decent home rig for < £200 brand new!

The value in the beginner market is phenomenal. My 5year old begs me for this every time we go into my local guitar store. It's also less than £200. (I must admit I've NEARLY caved a few times).
