John Mayall is responsible for starting this shit I think.
He had a strat that was cut down to just the edge of the scratchplate and almost nothing else, I'm sure I've seen that somewhere.
As always though, a 'Guitar Teacher' knows best,.....doesn't he?
.......Doesn't he??
"it's got a few marks on it"
ROFL
The headstock though. How on gods earth does that help playability?
It's the eternal battle we face with guitar teachers.
They want to get the entire world playing nylon strung classical guitars so they try to destroy the electric guitar playing community one guitar at a time, even if they have to buy them themselves to do it.
I pity the poor child who had to learn on that!
My old Marlin sidewinder doesn't seem so bad now and I NEVER thought I would EVER get to say that!!!
Still, that doesn't stop it being an abomination.
Reminds me a bit of that weird small bodied strat that came out earlier this year, I think. The body was scratchplate sized.
Anyone remember what it was? I think someone posted it here on the forum somewhere.
