Continuing the sale of my collection - next up the Les Pauls.

1999 Gibson Les Paul Studio Lite

Trans gloss red. I bought it because I hadn't seen one in that colour. It's definitely an import, it has a US sticker on the back of the neck.

It's in great condition for the year, and is the model with the carved maple cap.It has a 490 and 498R pickup combination, and a rosewood board.

It has a Gibson soft case, and a (non-Gibson) hard case.

Good condition for age, but is used. Ebony fretboard. 
P/Us are 57 Classics and the neck measurements are 0.820" thickness at 1st fret and width of 1.686" at the nut. Gibson hardcase.

2011 Gibson Les Paul Faded Standard - SOLD
Purchased from @photek and simply superb.

Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded 50's neck With photek-Corsa mods  I think these 2011 models are referred to as Traditional Fadeds but Gibson listed them as Standards and have the same spec as the standards of the time.

This really is a superb guitar, loads of dynamics with an airy sound to it, not just a grunty mid choked Les Paul (although it can sort of do that as well).

50's neck profile, traditional weight relief so not chambered. It is still a light LP though at around 8.5lbs but will confirm later. Great condition and set up superbly with a low action on 10's. Frets are in great condition and the fretboard is nice and dark. Finished in Honeyburst with an interesting plain top.

Gibson Historic Pickup Rings
Burny VH-1 Pickups which are superb PAF type pickups reading 8.1k Bridge 7.9k Neck and have naturally aged over the years

Can vouch for that faded being utterly superb. Genuinely as good as some of the Historics I have owned.

It was a short run (3 years i think) of a lighter les paul studio. Smaller inlays. More manageable in terms of weight

I realise the Faded has gone but I love it, especially the non-lacquer finish. For future ref is the neck the same finsh? Satin-style? thx.

What's the difference between an LP Studio & a Lite?

The Lite is thinner in the body, was weight relieved and has smaller inlays. It was a slightly lighter LP. Fitted with 480 and 496 pickups - and it's in great condition. There has been a couple of questions over whether it is a Lite or not, but I've had a couple previously (and the colour is one that was on the Lite series) so I'm pretty sure it is.
