    You might be better sticking this on ebay. Personally I love the look of it and I'm sure it's a lovely guitar, but in view of the fact that it has a personalised neck engraving, you will have a wider audience on ebay. You're asking a Fender price here for a non-standard, personalised and heavy telecaster. If you need it gone, as you say you do, you need to reach as many punters as possible really.

    It's just I've never sold anything on eBay and I keep hearing all these stories of buyers screwing sellers over, especially with PayPal and eBay siding with the buyer.

    It would be a good idea to put up a post in the 'guitar' section to get some advice from seasoned sellers, and that way you can reduce your chances of being shafted to almost zero. The thing with ebay is that you can set it up as an auction, so that you will have a clearer idea of what it is worth to potential buyers. You can set a reserve price of course, and if it doesn't reach it then there will be no deal, but at least you'll have a better idea of its value.
