I don't think we've had a thread about this yet. OD, distortion, mod (chorus, phaser and univibe), tape, analogue and digital delay, plate, hall and spring reverb.

MIDI in and out, IR loader, 4CM compatible with line level effects section, and the whole thing looks to be programmable.

Bax have it for £266, which makes it a pretty solid deal if the sound is anything like the functionality.

Looks great, and amazing price for what it does.  Seems odd to have an IR loader with no amp sim, but other than that one comment looks fab.  There's so much good stuff coming out.

I guess since it's primarily intended as a live "fly rig" thing to incorporate with an amp and maybe other effects (via MIDI) the IR loader means you can send a speaker simulated output from your live rig to the PA.

I have to say, I wouldn't have expected something this cool from NUX. Quite a few of the Chinese FX makers seem to be seriously raising their game recently.

  • With a simplistic dial based interface it could certainly appeal to the market; albeit the brand could be alien to some.

If the effects are any good, and with the IR loader, it could certainly take on the likes of the FireHawk..

is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?

Turns out they use pictures of other pedals to describe the sounds.
Brian Wampler was talking about it.

  • Huh. To be fair, most pedal manufacturers sail about as close to the wind on copyright infringement as they think they can get away with in terms of trademarked names, trade dress and whatever, but that does kinda take the piss.

I saw it on a Namm video.

I thought it was interesting.   I like the knobs and the no menu.   This could be a nice all in one solution for some ppl.

What is the price?   And how does it compare to that 'red truck' thing?

I thought Cerberus had 3 heads, but this has 4+ effects

doesnt appear to have a seperate boost switch?

that's too much for that brand.

it looks very well conceived and implemented, though.  far better than that 'red truck' thing.

IMHO if the current spate of "fly rig" pedals were actually meant to be bought by people who fly to their gigs no company would bother making them. It's just an "aspirational" marketing word.

i thought fly rig applied to getting something simple ''on the fly'' ?

My understanding was that it stemmed from various of the superstar session guys and clinicians having big pedalboards that they used for tours, but needing to be able to take a stripped-down version of their pedalboard with them on flights to lower-key or lower-paid gigs/clinics/sessions. A few of those players approached manufacturers they had a relationship with and all-in-one pedals that could do that sort of job started appearing - Carl Martin Quattro, Tech 21 FlyRig, T-Rex Soulmate- stuff that isn't a full-blown multi-effect floorboard job, but covers all the basics and could concievably fit in a gig bag or a carry-on bag.

Clearly, that sort of thing has an appeal to more than just that sort of player- if it didn't, none of those companies would bother mass producing them.
